Multiple people are displaced after flames tore through a building in Gettysburg early Tuesday morning.
Gettysburg Fire Department said in a news release it was just after 1 a.m. when fire crews were dispatched to Carlisle Street for a working fire. Firefighters arrived and saw flames from a ground-floor window.
The building is made up of a retail store and there are residents who live on the second and third floors so the fire department says it was dispatched as a commercial fire.
The business, Gettysburg Vapes, is located at 168 Carlisle Street at the intersection with Water Street. Video from the scene showed flames and smoke coming from the side of the building. According to the business’s Facebook page, they offer electronic cigarettes, liquids, and vaping supplies.
