Pennsylvania State Police have arrested one man in connection to a Franklin County barn fire on July 17. Ray Walter Coldsmith, Jr., 44, was arrested on multiple felony charges including arson, reckless burning, criminal mischief and causing catastrophe. PSP were first called to Coldsmith Road around 10:10 a.m. after reports of a man throwing rocks in the area. Police say Coldsmith threw a rock through the window of someone’s Dodge pickup truck, then threw another rock while the victim was driving. The truck driver described Coldsmith to Troopers who began investigating the area after the reported altercation. Coldsmith was later found in a field holding a red gas jerry can. Troopers then traveled a short distance to a nearby barn that was in flames.
