Three people were rescued from a fire in Harrisburg Monday morning. According to a post from Station #2 of the Harrisburg Bureau of Fire, rescuers responded to an automatic fire alarm at Munchies Markette in the 1200 block of Mulberry St. in Dauphin County. The post says upon arrival, firefighters witnessed the storefront emitting smoke and immediately began searches and horizontal ventilation. According to Harrisburg Fire Chief Brian Enterline, the fire started in the first-floor store due to an electrical malfunction with a refrigerator. The store was significantly damaged by heat and smoke. Firefighters evacuated three adults from a boarding house on the second floor and are being assisted by the Pennsylvania Red Cross. Enterline estimates that the property damage costs will be approximately $70,000.
