PHOTOS: A fully engulfed tractor-trailer fire shut down a stretch of the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Cumberland County. The tractor-trailer caught fire in the eastbound lanes near mile marker 238 in Upper Allen Township around 11:30 a.m. No one was injured, and no other vehicles were involved. All eastbound lanes of the Pennsylvania Turnpike/I-76 were closed between Exit 236, Gettysburg Pike Interchange, and Exit 242, Harrisburg West Interchange. Due to the partial closure, there were severe delays and traffic disruptions in the area. The right shoulder of I-76 Eastbound remains closed. All other lanes have reopened. A photo from the scene shows thick plumes of black smoke shooting into the sky.
