VIDEO: Tons of workplaces and groups are wrapping up their No Shave November fundraisers. The effort to raise money and awareness for men's health had an extra special meaning to the Easton Fire Department this year.
About half of Easton's firefighters have been sporting a mustache for No Shave November.
"Firefighters will grow mustache that symbolizes cancer awareness," said Kevin Sciba, a firefighter with the Easton Fire Department. "Most people know that firefighters have about 14% greater risk of getting cancer."
Money raised goes to prevention, research and education.
The cause means even more this year, since the department is using it to honor Capt. George Leidy, who died in June.
"It's important that we remember one of our past members that passed away, and he was also known for having a great mustache," said Easton firefighter Matt Sands.
