A vacant building was destroyed by flames on Wednesday evening in Scranton. Officials say a fire broke out at the old fieldhouse at Clover Field in West Scranton around 7:30 PM and was put out in approximately 20 minutes. Crews responded quickly to extinguish the fire at the vacant building up for demolition. Investigators are still looking for the cause of the fire but say it is suspicious in nature due to the fact that the building was abandoned and all utilities were cut. As of Thursday afternoon, officials have ruled the fire an arson.
