Authorities are seeking a suspect in connection with an explosion that damaged a business early on Thursday morning in the Empire area of Coos Bay, according to the Coos Bay Police Department.
CBPD officials said they responded at 4:19 a.m. on June 27 to a reported alarm and explosion near Orco Gunworks in the 100 block of North Wasson Street. Responding officers arrived to find the front glass window of the business had been broken by an apparent explosion, authorities said. Coos Bay police said that surveillance video footage of the surrounding area had captured a man approaching the business from the south, placing an explosive device in the windowsill, igniting the device, and then running southbound away from the scene.
