Firefighters battle Suffolk County car fire that spreads to boat; 2 cats rescued

PHOTOS: Dozens of firefighters had to work to put out flames early Wednesday in Eastport that damaged multiple vehicles and a boat. The call came in just before 6 a.m. at 405 Old Montauk Highway for a car that caught fire. The flames spread to another vehicle, and then a boat that was in the back of East End Collision in Eastport. About 65 firefighters were at the scene, and two other departments assisted the Eastport department. No injuries were reported, and two cats were rescued from under the boat.
