A faulty electrical panel was to blame for a barn fire in Hillsborough over the weekend.
On Saturday at around noon, the Hillsborough Township Police Department and volunteer firefighters went to 115 Wertsville Road for a report of a structure fire.
Authorities discovered a barn on the property, used for storing hay and equipment, partially caught fire, said Hillsborough Police Sgt. Christopher M. Engelhardt.
Firefighters extinguished the fire expeditiously. The barn was unoccupied at the time of the fire and there were no reported injuries.
The fire is not considered suspicious, and the cause of the fire was a faulty electrical panel, said Engelhardt.
