An off-duty firefighter helped put out the flames near the chimney of a home in Plaistow on Sunday. At 4:10 p.m., the homeowner at 11 Sunrise Terrace called 911. Firefighter BJ Gusler, who lives on the same street, responded to the scene to heavy fire coming from the front of the house. All occupants got out of the house safely.
