A fire in central Lincoln caused nearly $10,000 in damages on Saturday. Lincoln Fire & Rescue responded to a call for heavy smoke from a rear parking area near 16th and B Streets just after 5:30 p.m. LFR had the fire under control after 10 minutes of battling the blaze. There were no injuries caused by the fire. LFR reported the house consisted of three apartment units, and two residents have been relocated. The fire started in a crawl space under the rear addition of the house, but the cause is still under investigation.
