VIDEO/PHOTOS: The Hopkins Rural Fire Department responded to a deadly house fire Monday in Wake County. The fire happened around 1:13 p.m. on Jack Mitchell Road in Zebulon. Sky 5 flew over the home, where smoke was visible from the roof. Fire Chief Chris Ward said one person died; no other injuries were reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. The Wendell, Zebulon and Pilot fire departments assisted with the fire.
