VIDEO: A fire broke out at Ingredion, a biotech center in Winston-Salem that produces ingredients for food and drinks, according to the Winston-Salem Police Department.
According to officials, a call of a commercial fire came in at 2:08 p.m. When crews arrived on scene at 4501 Overdale Road, they were met with a three-alarm blaze. The Winston-Salem Fire Department was able to contain the fire, but crews were working on cleanup at the site for additional time after the blaze was put out. There were no injuries from the fire, and the cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
According to the Winston-Salem Fire Department, Ingredion was open when the fire started.
