One person was hurt after a tractor-trailer burst into flames on I-77 in Charlotte early Friday morning. The blaze broke out around 1 a.m. on the southbound side near the W.T. Harris Boulevard exit. Traffic cameras showed firefighters arrive within minutes of the fire starting, quickly getting out hoses and spraying the trailer down as flames trickled onto the interstate shoulder. Once the fire was put out, the truck emitted thick smoke for several minutes.
