VIDEO/PHOTOS: Two Concord fire trucks were hit within a 24-hour period, one of which was a hit-and-run, the department said on social media. The Concord Fire Department posted the first incident on Sunday morning after one of its engines was crashed into on I-85. Photos of that crash showed a white Jeep SUV that appeared to have ran into the back of the truck. Firefighters posted the second wreck Monday morning and said that crash also happened on I-85. Monday’s collision took place while the fire truck was blocking for a separate incident. Photos show damage a piece of equipment attached to the front of the truck. Firefighters said a tractor-trailer hit the truck and fled the scene. The department is working with Highway Patrol and Concord Police to investigate. No firefighters were hurt in either crash.
