A truck carrying 3,000 gallons of gas overturned in the median at the Long Beach/County Farm Road exit. The driver of the truck is injured and has been transported to a hospital and is in stable condition. The truck rolled over at the 28th westbound exit, according to Harrison County Fire Chief Pat Sullivan. Crews with the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality, Harrison County Fire Rescue, the Harrison County Sheriff’s Department and Mississippi Highway Patrol worked on the accident. The clean up on I-10 has since been completed. Mississippi Highway Patrol Trooper Calvin Robertson said, “In our district, the Biloxi district, has worked 33 wrecks up to this point since Friday. Now, today we were extremely busy on the I-10 because of the gas tanker roll-over, Labor Day Weekend’s coming to an end, and you have a lot of Louisiana residents here as well getting fuel and supplies for what they need.”
