Firefighters were on the scene of a house fire on Marydale and Charleston drives Tuesday morning.
According to officials, the fire broke out around 6:40 a.m. Witnesses said they saw flames shooting through the roof of the home. It took crews just over an hour to fully put out the flames and hotspots.
Crews said the home suffered heavy damage, especially to the roof.
Officials said the house was abandoned, and there were no injuries reported.
Crews said they did not have an issue with the water pressure, even though Jackson is under a boil water advisory.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
