Kansas City firefighter treated for heat-related issues after response to vacant house fire

A firefighter was treated for heat-related issues after responding to a vacant house fire in Kansas City, Missouri, Wednesday morning. The Kansas City Fire Department said a search of the vacant house in the area of 49th Street and Walrond Avenue came back clear. Crews responded to the house fire just after 7 a.m. Wednesday. KCFD said heavy smoke and fire was showing from the two-story home when they arrived. The cause of the fire is under investigation by KCFD.
