Around 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday, the Rochester Fire Department (RFD) responded to a garage fire on 19th Avenue. When crews arrived, they found two garage units engulfed in flames. Gas powered saws were used to remove the garage doors to allow for access. Crews had to pull parts of the ceiling down to ensure the fire had not spread to adjacent garages. There were no injuries reported at the scene and RFD has not indicated a damage amount. RFD says the scene is still under investigation by the Fire Marshal’s division. RFD would like to remind everyone to charge only one device or tool per outlet and to unplug once they are fully charged.
