Fire heavily damaged a house in Willmar Wednesday night. Willmar Fire Chief Frank Hanson says at 10:20 p.m. Wednesday they were dispatched to a structure fire in the 1300 Block of Trott Avenue SE. Thick smoke was coming from the house and when they arrived, firefighters confirmed that all of the occupants had gotten out safely. Fire crews found the fire in the living room area, put it out and cleared the house of smoke. It was hot out, and due to the heat, one firefighter suffered heat exhaustion and was taken to CentraCare Rice Hospital, treated and released. And due to the heat, Willmar was assisted by fire crews from Spicer and Kandiyohi, as well as Willmar Police, CentraCare EMS and The State Fire Marshall's Office. The house and it's contents sustained heavy damage and at this time is considered un-inhabitable.
