Marquette firefighters quickly extinguish fire at a residence

PHOTOS: A tool shed is damaged after an evening fire in Marquette. The Marquette City Fire Department responded to 436 W. Bluff St at 8:25 p.m. Upon arrival, visible flames and smoke were coming from the backyard of the residence. Fire Chief Kurt Hillier says a 6×12 foot shed was fully engulfed. They were able to knock down the fire and extinguish the flames within ten minutes. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time. No injuries were reported. Marquette City Fire Dept. was assisted by the Marquette City Police Department and UPHS 141 crew.
