VIDEO: Three people, including a child, are recovering after crews pulled them out of Huron River in Ann Arbor. This is the third incident on the Huron River in less than a week. Ann Arbor Fire Chief Mike Kennedy says a beautiful Wednesday (July 17) evening at the Argo Cascades turns into a scary time on the Huron River for two men and a child without a life vest. “They were at the Argo Cascades Tubing, and the Argo Cascades dumps into the main body of the Huron River,” said Kennedy. The current in the Huron River was so strong that firefighters had to use a rescue rope to bring two of the victims to shore, along with a water rescue boat for the third. “With the tropical storm last week, the river is running very high and very fast,” Kennedy said. “They got caught up in the main part of the river and were actually stranded on a tree along the river bank.”
