Fire crews are still trying to put out a fire that started on Tuesday at a Mecosta County Restaurant. The flames broke out at Blue Lake Tavern in Mecosta. Crews had to shut down part of M-20 from 90th Avenue to 120th Avenue and it’s been closed for several hours. Northern Michigan’s News Leader talked with the Morton Township Fire Chief who said firefighters were still working to put out the flames. He says no one was inside the restaurant when it caught on fire. The Blue Lake Tavern now says it will be closed until further notice. Fire crews are still working to figure out how the fire started.
