PHOTOS: A Vandercook Lake family’s home had to be demolished after it caught fire Monday afternoon, officials said.
Firefighters found flames coming from the home in the 900 block of Annetta Avenue when they arrived around 1:46 p.m. March 29, Summit Township Fire Department Capt. Matt Shaw said.
As a result of the damage, the house had to be taken down, Shaw said. The cause and origin of the fire are still under investigation, he said.
There were no injuries, Shaw said. The family is being assisted by the American Red Cross.
The Jackson, Napoleon, Liberty, and Spring Arbor fire departments and the Blackman-Leoni Department of Public Safety assisted at the scene.
