Structure fire in St. Clair County

St. Clair County house fire The rash of fires throughout the region continues with one of the latest being a structure fire in St. Clair County Wednesday afternoon. According to reports, rescue crews were called to a four-alarm house fire shortly before 2 p.m. Wednesday in Kimball Township after a neighbor called 911 to report the fire. Firefighters from Kimball, Clyde and Port Huron townships and Memphis all responded to the fire in the 5900 block of Griswold Road. Kimball Township authorities say there were no injuries and the fire was quickly knocked down. According to firefighters on scene, the kitchen of the home suffered heavy fire damage with smoke damage throughout the house. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
