A fire destroyed a home in Trenton early Wednesday morning. According to Trenton Fire Chief Steve Heckman, the department got a report of a structure fire at 29 Captain Douglas Lane just after midnight. He says when they arrived fire was showing through the roof, front and sides of the home. The house is currently under renovation and no one was inside at the time of the fire. Heckman says there were no injuries but crews worked well into the morning to make sure the fire was completely out. The home, tools and equipment are a total loss. The State Fire Marshal's Office has been called in to determine the cause.
