VIDEO: There was a new spin on summer morning workouts for the Maine football team.
The Old Town and Orono Fire Departments showed up to train with the Black Bears in a way only they could.
The team worked together to pull a fire truck from the local unit.
“Everything we resemble as a team is grit, just having that desire, will, and mentality to attack every day,” said Montigo Moss, senior wide receiver.
“Traditionally when we get a new fire truck, the fire department will push the fire truck in. Now I know who to call if we get a new fire truck. We’ll be calling the Maine football team‚” said Kyle Milan, Old Town Fire Chief.
“I don’t remember really if we’ve ever done this before on campus. This is a first for us, so I hope it’s the first of many,” said Bryan Hardison, Orono Acting Deputy Fire Chief.
