The State Fire Marshal’s Office is trying to figure out what caused a fire at a restaurant in Eddington. Firefighters were called to Heritage on the 9 Restaurant and Tavern just before 2 a.m. Wednesday. When crews arrived, they say about half of the building was on fire. Firefighters spent about an hour getting the fire under control. “There was nobody present at the restaurant. And there was just a couple of people along the side of the road that reported the fire,” said Craig Russell, Eddington deputy fire chief. According to their Facebook page, the restaurant closed last September for the season because of health concerns of one of the owners.
