A home will no longer be able to be lived in following a fire in York Beach Saturday afternoon. York Village and York Beach Fire Departments were both called to Long Sands Road around 4:40 p.m. for a fire at a home. When they arrived, a fire was found in a wall on the second floor. Crews determined the fire was accidental and no injuries were reported. The home itself was determined to be uninhabitable because of damage from the fire. Authorities have not said how many people lived at the home. There were around 28 firefighters and fire officers at the scene. Officials have not said what caused the fire.
