A man has been rushed to a hospital following an explosion in Freeport, fire rescue officials confirmed to Maine's Total Coverage.
According to officials, the man was working on a gas cylinder outside at Dave's Junkyard Friday morning when it blew up.
Fire crews say the man who was injured is in critical condition.
At this time, Allen Range Road is closed.
We do not know what caused the cylinder to explode or the identity of the man injured. Those who live nearby say they could feel their homes shaking following the explosion.
The Maine State Fire Marshal's Office is heading to the scene, and OSHA has been notified.
