A bomb threat was reported at the State House on May 15, leading to an urgent response from local authorities. The threat was called in at approximately 3:38 PM by a female who claimed to have placed two bombs inside the building. She provided a name and phone number, which authorities were unable to verify. The Annapolis Police Department, along with the Department of General Services (DGS), Annapolis Fire Department (AFD), Maryland State Police (MSP), and other local jurisdictions, quickly coordinated a response. APD personnel established a perimeter as DGS and AFD Bomb Squads conducted a thorough sweep of the State House. The building was eventually cleared without the discovery of any explosive devices.
