One Dead in Frostburg House Fire

PHOTO: A devastating house fire in Frostburg has resulted in the death of one individual, prompting a thorough investigation by the Office of the State Fire Marshal and Allegany Combined County Criminal (C3I) Unit. The incident occurred early Monday morning at a residence located at 210 Welsh Hill Road. Responding to the scene around 3:45 a.m., the Frostburg Fire Department, aided by nearby fire companies, battled the three-alarm fire. It took approximately 60 firefighters fifteen minutes to bring the blaze under control. After extinguishing the fire, a deceased occupant was discovered within the single-family dwelling. The victim is set to be transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore for an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death and for positive identification.
