The Maryland Office of the State Fire Marshal is investigating a Friday evening fire in a Crisfield apartment building. A tenant reportedly discovered the laundry room fire at 531 West Main Street around 7 p.m. on July 19. Crisfield Volunteer Fire Company crews responded, quickly suppressing the flames. The State Fire Marshal deemed arson as the fire’s preliminary cause. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact the State Fire Marshal.
