Region: L'Enfant Plaza Metro station in DC evacuated after small track fire reported

L’Enfant Plaza Metro Station was evacuated Wednesday evening after a small track fire was reported, according to Metro officials. D.C. Fire and EMS crews responded to the station around 5 p.m. to find that a small fire on the Green line track was extinguished before they arrived. Residual smoke was ventilated from the area and no injuries were reported, Fire officials said. As of 5:40 p.m., officials said Yellow line trains were single-tracking between Pentagon City and L’Enfant Plaza due to the track issue. Green Line trains were single-tracking between Navy Yard and L’Enfant Plaza. Shuttle buses were available, according to officials.
