Seven people have been evacuated from their homes in a 3-story row house in Southeast D.C. after it was determined to be structurally unstable. DC Fire and EMS says a Collapse Rescue team is on scene evaluating the situation and a collapse safety zone has been established around the building. DC Fire is working with Pepco and Washington Gas to secure the utilities in the building. An adjacent construction site was also evacuated. The Red Cross has been informed of the people being displaced. The DC Office of Community Relations and Services is also on scene helping, DC Fire says.
