Authorities are investigating a Monday night fire that caused tens of thousands of dollars in damage to a Salisbury home. The Maryland State Fire Marshal's Office said it happened at around 7:30 p.m. at the home located at 1021 Marian St. It took the Salisbury Fire Department approximately half an hour to get the blaze under control. The fire caused an estimated $50,000 in damage to the structure and another $10,000 in damage to its contents. There were no reported injuries. Deputy state fire marshal's determined the fire started in a second floor bedroom but how it started remains under investigation.
