Authorities are investigating a late Tuesday night fire that caused tens of thousands of dollars to a home in Caroline County. The Maryland State Fire Marshal's Office said it happened shortly before 11:30 p.m. at a single story vacant home located at 15396 Union Road in Goldsboro. The Goldsboro Volunteer Fire Company responded to the scene and got the blaze under control in half an hour. The fire caused an estimated $20,000 in damage to the structure. There were no reported injuries. Deputy state fire marshals determined the fire started inside the home and was caused by an incendiary. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Upper Eastern Regional Office of the Maryland State Fire Marshal.
