VIDEO: A large fire ripped through a million-dollar home in Andover, Massachusetts, early Monday morning, destroying it.
Andover fire officials say crews from multiple towns -- including Lawrence, North Reading and Tewksbury -- responded to the Lowell Street house around 3:30 a.m. after a person inside the home called 911 to report fire was coming from outside the building.
Dispatchers initially had issues communicating with the caller because of a language barrier, Andover Fire said, but when they heard smoke detectors going off in the background, they urged the occupants to evacuate immediately.
No injuries were reported.
According to the Andover Fire Department, responding crews found heavy fire coming from the back of the 3,000-square-foot home and they immediately resorted to defensive tactics.
