VIDEO/PHOTOS: A good Samaritan who stopped to assist a person involved in a crash involving a utility pole ended up having power lines fall onto their vehicle, setting it on fire, first responders said. The crash happened Wednesday evening along Great Hill Road in Sandwich, Massachusetts. "We had a bystander stop to assist the person in the car, and while that was happening, the primary wire burned through and dropped on top of the bystander's car, setting that on fire," John Burke, the Sandwich fire chief said. Burke said the people were able to get out of the way of the burning power line and vehicle. Burke said a gas line that runs along the street also ended up catching fire. "We had a significant amount of fire for about two hours with the gas line, waiting for the gas company to secure," Burke said.
