A man working on sidings and windows of a Fisher Street home fell 15 to 20 feet from a ladder and suffered serious injuries on Tuesday, authorities said. The man, who was not identified, was taken to UMass-Memorial Medical Center in Worcester to be treated for injuries not believed to be life-threatening, Fire Chief Jeff Lynch said. “Because of the height of the fall, it’s always considered serious,” said Lynch. “It’s why we called for a helicopter and had him taken to a trauma center. Police Lt. Matthew Reardon said the man was part of a work crew for a company based in Rhode Island. The workers do siding and windows. The man was on the ladder when it slipped out from underneath him and he crashed to the ground below. Reardon said the man suffered some sort of “break,” but he did not have all the details.
