Attleboro firefighters extinguished a house fire on Thatcher Street Tuesday night. Chief Scott Lachance said crews responded to the home just before 7 p.m. When firefighters arrived, they found heavy smoke and flames coming from the home. Lachance said crews began an “aggressive attack” on the home to extinguish the fire. Everyone inside of the home was able to safely escape before rescue crews arrived, according to Lachance. There were no injuries. North Attleboro and Seekonk Fire Departments helped on scene, and additional coverage was provided by Norton, Pawtucket, and Rehoboth departments. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Attleboro Fire Department.
