Easton Deputy Fire Chief Timothy Griffin, who was fired last spring, has been reinstated, but remains on administrative leave. “Mr. Griffin was reinstated via court order and is on administrative leave until further notice relating to the pending criminal charges against him,” Town Administrator Connor Read said. In January 2018, Griffin was charged with assaulting his ex-girlfriend, an officer in the Bristol County Sheriff’s Office, and taking possession of her gun. The alleged incident occurred in her home in Attleboro. Griffin was placed on administrative leave in January 2018 and was fired in April 2018.
