The cause of a fire at a Dollar Tree in East Baton Rouge Parish is under investigation. In a post on Facebook, the Central Fire Department announced firefighters responded to a commercial fire on the corner of N. Sherwood Forest Drive and Greenwell Springs Road on Sunday, March 24. Crews said an operational sprinkler system controlled the fire enough to allow firefighters to enter and attack the fire. No injuries were reported. There is no word on when the store will reopen. The Baton Rouge Fire Department and the District Six Fire Department responded to the scene. Anyone with information about the fire is asked to contact Crime Stoppers or the Baton Rouge Fire Department.
