22-year-old Nikki Huggins is behind bars in connection with an arson case from over two years ago. The fire in question occurred on January 23, 2019. On that date, “firefighters were dispatched to a vehicle fire on the 4900 block of Bradley St.,” according to the Baton Rouge Fire Department. Upon arrival, firefighters noticed that homeowners were already trying to extinguish the fire. Firefighters did put the fire out and an investigation was initiated at that time. BRFD says, “arson was suspected and evidence was collected at the scene.” Huggins is facing one count of obstruction of justice. No bond has been set at this time. The Baton Rouge Police Department assisted on this case.
