Follow-Up: Two teens sentenced to juvenile corrections for Rawlins County High School fire

Two juveniles will spend 30 months behind bars for their roles in connection to a fire at a Northwest Kansas school in June of 2023. The suspects, now aged 13 and 14, were found guilty of aggravated arson and attempted arson regarding their roles in a fire at the Rawlins County Junior/Senior High School on June 5, 2023. The fire resulted in severe damage to the building, as well as injuring 10 firefighters, and USD 105 Rawlins County being forced to implement alternative measures for students in the upcoming school year. The juveniles, who have not been named, were sentenced to 30 months at the juvenile correctional facility, and will then serve parole until they are 19.
