Crews made short work of a building fire in downtown Wichita on Tuesday. Fire crews were sent out just before 6:30 a.m. to the 300 block of South Pattie, near Kellogg and Washington. Battalion Chief Kelly Ross said they saw significant smoke coming from the building when they arrived. It took crews about 15 minutes to get the fire under control, Ross said. No one was hurt. The cause of the fire and a damage estimate have yet to be determined.
