The Topeka Fire Department said a house fire Sunday was believed to be caused by an electronic device. Firefighters responded just after 3 p.m. to 2208 SW Duane St. in central Topeka. They found smoke and flames coming from the two-story home. TFD said three people were able to safely evacuate the burning home before crews arrived. No one else was found inside. A preliminary investigation reveals the cause to be undetermined but likely associated with an electronic device. The home suffered $30,000 in damage. No working smoke alarms were found inside.
