Popular steakhouse in Junction City is a ‘complete loss’ after fire

Munson’s Prime Steakhouse is a complete loss according to the Geary County Rural Fire Chief. “The entire structure is a complete loss. The roof has caved in on it.” Geary County Rural Fire Chief Garry Berges told the Junction City Post. “Firefighters are trying to protect the exposures to the east, which would be the old Ike’s Place. Also, we’ve got high transmission power lines in the area.” Firefighters arrived at the scene just after 4 a.m. Wednesday morning. No injuries were reported. The restaurant is owned by Chuck and Deanna Munson, Munson’s Prime is located at 426 Goldenbelt Blvd, Junction City, near I-70 and Washington Street.
