An employee of the Smoky Hill Country Club, 3303 Hall, saw smoke coming from the club house when they went to work this morning.
The Hays Fire Department and other local emergency personnel responded at 7:07 a.m., where heavy smoke could be seen coming from the roof, according to emergency radio traffic.
At least two fire lines were laid.
