VIDEO: Parkview Health unveiled a new mobile training lab today that leaders say provides first responders with advanced high-technology training. The 42-foot vehicle has two simulation rooms for responders to receive hands-on training.
One room is a replica of a Three Rivers Ambulance Authority (TRAA) ambulance. The other room is a realistic home set-up for responders to practice rare and intense scenarios.
The training is provided for TRAA, the Fort Wayne Fire Department (FWFD), and the Fort Wayne Police Department (FWPD). Training is also provided for police, fire, and EMS services across the region.
“As we take this simulation training, you are going to see more confidence in our providers when they get out on the field. They’re going to feel like they already have the experience,” President of the Fort Wayne EMS Foundation Dr. Christian Bridgewater said.
